Jefferson County North Chargers
League Champions 2013
Natalie played softball this spring. She hasn't been able to play the last couple years because the games were on Sunday, and we don't do Sunday sports. She was SO excited this year when we learned that the games were on Tuesdays and Fridays. She had a great time going to practice and playing with the other girls, and learning a bit more about how to play. The girls didn't do so great during regular "season" games. I think they won two and one game the other team forfeited, so it counted as a win for us. We weren't expecting much out of tournament in terms of winning. We just thought she'd go have fun, which is really the whole point of playing anyway. Turned out that they hit their stride for the tournament. They won all of their tournament games. They really did a great job and Natalie had such a good time. I really liked the coaches. They were so supportive of the girls and were great at teaching them how to play while still having fun. Natalie is really looking forward to playing next spring, and in the meantime she's having a great time playing in the backyard with daddy, Mason and Hannah.
Independence Day
We did our traditional 4th of July-ing. Eating tons of food and blow stuff up. Who can argue with a plan like that?
We've made it through Andy's and my birthdays, and our 10th anniversary (Has it been that long?!?) is this Friday! It looks like Mema and Papa will be moving up here sometime in August, which we're all excited about. Also in August is Natalie's 9th birthday! Crazy stuff! We'll see what the rest of the summer holds.
